Past activities
Policy, carried all the way
to the grassroots.
The institute’s past activities cut across several sectors of the national bureaucratic policy implementation programs and our in-house efforts aimed at encouraging good leadership in all facets of our national life.
A — Healthcare
Targeted healthcare intervention and enlightenment programs
Aimed at promoting the national comprehensive and inclusive healthcare objective and the WHO global pursuit of health for all.
Early 2021, the institute initiated and signed a collaborative working relationship with the FCT chapter of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS). The working relationship enjoins the ILPI, as an intellectual and research organization, to raise relevant proposals tied to the various Federal Capital Territory Administration’s (FCTA) policy implementation programs, especially in the areas of education, health, gender and youth inclusion.
Based on the bi-party arrangement, our “Proposed 3-Day Free Medical Outreach and Tailored Town-hall Healthcare Education for the Elderly in FCT”, addressed to the Mandate Secretary of the FCTA Social Development Secretariat (SDS), was approved and sponsored by the SDS. The 3-day program took place 5th – 7th November, 2021 at the SDS premises, Cyprian Ekwensi Center for Arts and Culture, Area 10, Garki, Abuja, and attracted over 3,000 beneficiaries.
B — Capacity building
Capacity building and information sharing through workshops and conferences
C — Recognition
Conferment of the ILPI Fellowship (FILPI) and excellence awards
The institute confers the prestigious ILPI Fellowship (FILPI) and tailored excellence awards on deserving personalities and organizations in both the public and private sectors, as a way of promoting transformative leadership in policy implementation.
To encourage excellence in leadership, the ILPI recognizes, nominates, and rewards individuals and organizations for outstanding accomplishments.
