No doubt, Providence has benevolently located Nigeria in one of the greenest belts
of the global space, endowed with a multiplicity of abundant highly valued natural
resources. And Nigeria is not bereft of good policy formulation.
But it is rather a paradox that in spite of all these development enablers, Nigeria,
several decades after independence, is still globally perceived as a potentially great
nation, instead of boldly taking advantage of her huge endowments to significantly
transmute to a truly great nation.
She remains lean in physical and psychomotor-based human capital development. Besides,
she is also terribly short in major indices of global competitiveness taken for granted
in far less endowed but better led climes.
It was against this backdrop, driven by patriotic zeal, that some like-minded Nigerians
cutting across the country — Associate Professor Tope Alabi, Alhaji Muhammad
Abdulmumini Dada, Professor A.N Akwanya, Engr. Nwokolo S.P, Dr Bulus Baba Samuel,
Engr. Emeka Nwokolo, and Chief Dr Mrs Gloria Laraba Shoda mni, MFR — met on
several occasions in the closing quarter of 2018 to brainstorm on the possibility of
corporately contributing towards changing the ugly national narrative.
